INFINI Console Updated: Support for Managing More Search Engines

Elasticsearch is a highly popular big data search and analytics engine that enables enterprises to build their own large-scale search or log centers. It can be combined with business data to meet various development needs in different scenarios. Its powerful features have gained the admiration of countless developers.

As more and more businesses integrate their data with Elasticsearch, many enterprises find themselves deploying multiple Elasticsearch clusters. With the increasing number of indexes and clusters, the management and maintenance costs also rise. Traditional management tools, often relying on Kibana, may fall short when it comes to multi-cluster enterprise scenarios. Additionally, Elasticsearch and Kibana have a strong version binding relationship, requiring a separate deployment of Kibana for each Elasticsearch cluster. As the number of clusters grows, it becomes less convenient for operations or development personnel to navigate between multiple sets of clusters. Moreover, there may be cases where multiple versions of Elasticsearch coexist within the enterprise.

To address the growing challenge of managing multiple search infrastructures, we have developed INFINI Console:

INFINI Console is a lightweight, multi-cluster, cross-version unified control platform for search infrastructures. By centrally managing popular search engine infrastructures across different versions and multiple clusters, enterprises can easily and quickly manage multiple sets of search clusters with different versions. INFINI Console allows operations and management of indexes and data within clusters, flexible configuration of alert rules, specification of unified security policies, and viewing of logs and audit information across various dimensions. It truly realizes the construction and operation of enterprise-level search service platforms.

After more than a year of development, INFINI Console has completed its basic multi-cluster management capabilities and its various functionalities are becoming stable. It now possesses the ability to centrally manage multiple clusters:

Engine Support #

In addition to providing compatibility with various versions of Elasticsearch, Console has added support for two additional search engines:

  • Opensearch
  • Easysearch

Opensearch is an Elasticsearch fork initiated by AWS and is based on the open-source Elasticsearch v7.10 under the Apache 2.0 license. It has gained popularity among many community users.

Easysearch is a Elasticsearch fork maintained by INFINI Labs. It is also based on Elasticsearch v7.10 but places more emphasis on optimizing search business scenarios and maintaining the simplicity and usability of its product.

The complete matrix list of supported search engines is as follows:

NameVersion
Elasticsearch2.x
Elasticsearch5.x
Elasticsearch6.x
Elasticsearch7.x
Elasticsearch8.x
Elasticsearch2.x
OpenSearch1.x
OpenSearch2.x
Easysearch1.x
